About Michael Kravitz, PE, DFE

Michael Kravitz, PE, DFE, is a Professional Forensic Civil Engineer who has specialized in personal injury cases, regarding vehicular accident analysis and investigation, slip, trip and fall, building codes, and construction accidents since 1991.

A sole practitioner, he began his forensic practice in 1991 after working with various consulting engineering firms who worked on highway and bridge construction and rehabilitation, the Brooklyn Bridge biennial inspection, building column and beam design, surveying, and foundation excavation of high-rise office buildings.

Mr. Kravitz has written several peer reviewed papers that were published in the Journal of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers. He has served as the Secretary of the NAFE and is Past President of the NAFE. Mr. Kravitz is a Certified Diplomate Forensic Engineer.

Mr. Kravitz is  licensed to practice engineering in New York, New Jersey, and New Hampshire and has his NCEES records number.

Mr. Kravitz has also had a movie, television, and advertising career producing films, video, and other media. Mr. Kravitz graduated the City College of New York with a Bachelors of Civil Engineering and New York University Graduate School of Film and Television with a Master of Fine Arts.
